The Annual Banquet and Auction at The Gathering Place, 6 Pine Street, Mount Joy, PA will be held on Friday, March 16th, 2012. The theme is St. Patrick's Day (one day early!). The auction hopes to bring in over $12,000 which will be used for special projects and scholarships from the Chamber. As you can see by the pictures below, it is always a wonderful evening! The Mount Joy Chamber contributes to the Milanof-Schock Library and supports Main Street Mount Joy. In addition to supporting various local charities, the Chamber contributes to the Mount Joy Police Department. The Chamber also provides scholarships to Donegal High School and Lancaster County Career and Technology Center students. Each year a Chicken Barbecue is held in August. This year, the Chamber sold 1000 dinners and 250 halves and as you can see from the pictures below, had a wonderful time doing it! Luke and Barbara Brubaker, in partnership with their two sons Mike and Tony, hosted our September 2010 picnic at Brubaker Farms. A fabulous night was had by all members present. The tour that Luke took us on showed how the Brubakers have made renewable energy and environmental stewardship a priority on their farms. Brubaker Farms is a great example of successful economic development. If you have not had the privilage to tour Brubaker Farms, you may want to talk to Luke at one of our monthly luncheon meetings to find out how you can see first hand the great success they have had in their business. A Great Place to Live, Work and Play! The Chamber provides the Annual Business Directory to all residents of the area, as well as to those who request relocation information. All Chamber members are included in the directory, as well as businesses that place advertisements.
